British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has admitted his biggest mistake as Chancellor of the Exchequer was in his dealing with the banks.
In an interview, to be broadcast this evening on ITV’s Tonight programme, Mr Brown said that he should have been stricter with banks and pushed for more regulation.
Polish Presidential Funeral
Poland's late president, Lech Kaczynski, is to be buried on Sunday in Krakow’s Wawel Cathedral.
Tributes have continued to pour in for President Kaczynski, an at times divisive figure, amid hopes that his death could lead to reconciliation between different Polish political factions.

Kyrgyzstan is on the verge of Civil War according to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
Mr Medvedev's comments, made in Washington yesterday, come after last week’s ousting of President Kurmanbek Bakiyev by popular revolt.
